How to Plug In to CASL
Get Involved
We're interested in having people involved at all levels of our organization. For you that could mean:
Become a CASL Coordinator
We need cool students with a strong vision for demonstrating sustainable living at the U of O. Check here for a list of the available positions and what they entail.
Volunteer Your Skills
If you're just interested in a specific project that CASL is working on, you are more than welcome to help out. Here's a laundry list of things on which we could use an extra hand. Contact us if you're intrested in any of the below.
- Portable Pedal Power: help CASL and the EDC produce pedal powered energy station that is portable by bicycle.
- Teach or organize a hands-on workshop on some sustainability topic.
- Help give our website a seriously needed facelift, by assisting with the re-design, or creating some new digital graphics for us.
- Help us write a grant or do some fundraising (or make a tax-deductable donation). CASL would love to start a community membership drive, but we need someone to spearhead the effort.
- Organize CASL's resource library. We've been acquiring books and videos, but we need someone to start a good check out system for us.
- Donate office supplies or homey things for our new office/apartment.
Come to Weekly Planning Meetings
During Fall 2006 our weekly planning meetings are held on Wednesdays at 9:00 am. Find us in our office suite on the bottom floor of the UO Annex (behind Rennies).
