Math 392 WINTER 2003, Abstract Algebra

• Class meets MWF 1:00-2:00, Deady 303.
• Book: Abstract Algebra, Theodore Shifrin, Prentice Hall.
• Syllabus: Chapters 3, 4 and 5.
• Homework Assignments (30%) to be collected on WEDNESDAYS. Late homework will not be accepted. Not all of the assigned homework problems will be graded.
• Test dates:
  • Midterm (25%): 1.00-2.00 F Feb 14, Deady 303.
  • Final (45%): 15:15--17:05 U Mar 18, Deady 303.
  You must bring photo ID to the midterms and the final.
• Grading: Homework 30%, midterm 25%, final 45%.
• Please remember that if you miss a class, it is your responsibility to find out what happened in that class. You can usually pick up any handouts from this web page.
