Abstract: The Ricci flow is an evolution equation on Riemannian
manifolds that is meant to smooth things out. What actually happens
in the long term is still largely unknown. There are two aspects:
guessing the asymptotics and proving them. I'll describe what's known
in two and three dimensions, along with some recent work in four
dimensions.
