Title: Moduli spaces of high dimensional manifolds

Abstract: The collection of closed d-dimensional submanifolds
of euclidean space has a natural topology, in which two manifolds
are in the same path component iff they are diffeomorphic.
I will discuss recent progress towards understanding the topology
of such spaces. In particular, theorems about two-manifolds due to
Harer and Madsen-Weiss are generalized to higher-dimensional manifolds.
