a piece of a ratchet potential and some traces at different heights

this is the potential again at the end of an array with 150 pairs of electrodes. from blue to red goes away from the surface. the upper traces of each color correspond to using solutions from the Poisson-Boltzmann equation (cylindrical geometry) for each electrode. the lower traces correspond to using the regular electrostatic potential. in the regular electrostatic case, the overall slope structure is clear, especially as you get further from the surface. the screened potential is much more uniform, as would be expected. period = 1 screening length = 20*(electrode spacing).
note: dont leave the cursor in Magnify mode while switching back and forth between windows- it results in unwanted redraws.
