2006.04.25 17ish-20ish pengra access, just downstream from boat ramp. no dry fly love but lots of soft-hackle action in some textbook nymphing. waders definitely helped execution, mostly because of improved casting and stream positioning for downstream nymph lifting.

2006.04.21 1600-2000 greenwood boatramp the day before opening day. i caught the first of many hatchery clones on the first cast of a brown elkhair caddis (tied by rick).

2005.08.24 19:15-20:30 N. Fork of M. Fork of Willamette
went up with ll and rick to a crystal clear thread of the willamette. BRL: many small fish only

2005.08.13 11:00-13:XX lamprey and goose
PHG: hooked an 18inch suckerfish in the tail and dragged it upstream
BRL, CEU: nada.
also saw no fish from the footbridge on 08.14 possibly just too hot during the day.

PHG: little trout on a spinner of some type
BRL: pikeminnow on color-code spinner
CEU: FIRST FISH. beautifully ugly pikeminnow on a kastmaster

2005.07.17 10:00-13:45 rocky spot
BRL: 13" and 10" hatchery rainbows taken on fake-o eggs + real eggs about 2' below about 1/4oz of splitshot, drifted and bobbed around edge of big eddy.
PHG: no love
CEU: fantastic first casts.

2005.07.14 19:30-21:00 under N end of autzen bridge
BRL: 1 small trout taken on green-body EHC. no surface activity until after sunset
PHG: not in attendance

2005.07.08 16:00-20:30 goose island, lamprey spot
PHG: nothing
BRL: only the tiniest nibble on soft hackle at lamprey spot, promptly yanked out of mouth by BRL

2005.6.14 20:30-21:30 lamprey spot
PHG: ire raised towards barking dog. some attention from fish.
BRL: one small trout.
fewer bugs and less fish activity this time (colder temperatures). mottled brown caddis in abundance and some yellow mayflies.

2005.6.12 20:00-21:30 lamprey spot
PHG: extreme frustration with small and large fish jumping near and far.
BRL: 1 cutthroat, not-quite-legal size.
numerous fish laughing and frolicking nearby, sometimes leaping over fly line. substantial amazement/annoyance with aforementioned fish antics.
