Applicants fall into three categories. The significance for those applying is that if a student has more than 30 credits, we will be using your college GPA to evaluate your academic record.
First Year Applicants - B.Arch/Iarc
Students have high school diploma (or equivalent) and have earned fewer than 30 college credits.
Transfer Applicants - B.Arch/Iarc
Students have completed thirty or more college credits
Advanced Transfer Applicants - B.Arch/Iarc
Students have completed at least one year of architectural design or interior architectural design from an NAAB or FIDER accredited degree program, respectively.
Applications for the 2005-2006 academic year aren now available as of September 1, 2005. Applicants should use the updated application when it is available for any changes. Minimum standards for the New SAT test will take time to establish and are not available this year.
Undergraduate Applications for admission to the Department of Architecture are due
January 15th.
Be sure to complete and submit the University of Oregon AND the Department of Architecture online data form before proceeding to download the undergraduate application packet.
Undergraduate Application Process
Applications for admission to the Department of Architecture for the 2004-2005 academic year were due January 15th, 2005. This is a postmark or walk in deadline. To ensure that you submit all the required parts of the application, review the application procedures and requirements carefully and complete the following steps:
First step: Application for admission to the University of Oregon:
Apply to the University of Oregon (indicate Architecture or Interior Architecture as your desired major) using the online application at http://admissions.uoregon.edu/apply/onlineapp.htm.
This application is due January 15th of the year of entry into the program.

Second step: Application for admission to the Department of Architecture:
Apply to the Department of Architecture following the procedure listed below.
1. Complete the online Department of Architecture Undergraduate Application form.
2. Download the Undergraduate Application packet and submit all the required supporting
materials outlined under Submission requirements.
This application is due by January 15th of the year of entry into the program. This is a postmark deadline.
The Bachelor of Architecture/Interior Architecture is a five-year, professional degree program for
students without a previous four-year college degree.
All Undergraduate First Year, Transfer and Advanced Transfer applicants to the Architecture and Interior Architecture programs must provide three specified letters of recommendation and a portfolio of creative work that include two assigned exercises and an essay.
Applicants must meet or exceed at least three of four academic indices:
