NOTE:
All incoming undergraduate Architecture, Interior Architecture and Landscape Architecture majors are required to have the appropriate computing capability in their principal work space by Spring term of the first year. The completion of various assignments accross the curriculum will draw upon this capability. Each summer and winter term the department updates its recommendations with respect to hardware and software. We do not recommend that students purchase their computers too far in advance. The department recommends a variety of hardware that meets our requirements. For Fall 2005, the most expensive hardware/software recommendation is approximately $1,975.00 (Macintosh system) or $1,737.00 (Windows NT system) plus an additional $643.00 for required software. Current computer recommendations are posted on our website under Resources/Computing.

Financial aid has included an allowable expense to assist with the cost of this equipment. We encourage all applicants to apply for financial aid when they apply to the department.
