Drop-in Academic Support

Academic Learning Services offers free drop-in support to University of Oregon students interested in grammar, statistics, and study skills. 

Spring Term 2008 Schedule

Grammar - Fridays (Weeks 2-9)
10am-12pm, 68 PLC, Amy Nuetzman
Are you polishing a paper? Studying a foreign language? Taking a grammar course? Or just interested in learning the fundamentals of English? Drop in for answers to your grammar questions.

Study Skills - Mondays & Thursdays
(Weeks 2-9), 2 – 4pm, 68 PLC, Amy Nuetzman
Interested in boosting your academic success? Drop in to learn and practice effective strategies for time management, organization, reading, note-taking, test preparation—and more!

Statistics - Thursdays
(Weeks 2-9), 3-4pm, 12 PLC, Doug Hintz
Can't tell a statistic from a parameter? Don't have confidence in your confidence intervals? Hypothetically speaking, are you confused by hypothesis testing? Drop in for stats support for Math 243, Psy 302, or Soc 312.

The TRiO Program (Student Support Services and McNair Scholars) also provides numerous workshops [pdf] for admitted TRiO students.
