Professor Morse taught at Cornell University from 1978 to 1991. He has also taught courses in Nepal, New Zealand, China, Finland, Indonesia, and Kenya, where he was a Fullbright Scholar. His teaching and research interests are in financial and cost accounting.

Professor Morse has written books on market efficiency and accounting, cost accounting and managerial accounting. He has also published in the Rand Journal of Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, and the Financial Analyst Journal.
