Please arrive to the check-in location at time listed and plan to remain on campus for the entire day. In some cases, students may be completed with orientation activities earlier. This varies depending on the amount of time spent with department advisor as well as registration schedule. All participating students must check into this event at start time listed. Following a mandatory academic workshop, students meet with an advisor to assist with planning their first term at UO. You may NOT register for Summer courses until you attend an orientation program.

Previous CourseworkIf you have completed college coursework since you have submitted a transcript to the University of Oregon and/or are currently enrolled in classes, please bring a list of those courses so that your advisor can accurately help you plan your schedule. Your advisor will have information about coursework that has already been evaluated. What to Bring
Placement TestingDuring orientation you may need to take math and/or foreign language placemenet tests. Placement options will be presented at the advising workshop. The following website may be useful to you in preparing for your placement tests, http://testing.uoregon.edu
International StudentsInternational students whose native language is not English are required to take the Academic English for International Students (AEIS) placement test. Please bring your AEIS placement results to your academic advising session. If you have not yet taken this placement test, please contact Abe Schafermeyer or the AEIS GTF in International Student and Scholar Services (330 Oregon Hall, Ph. 541-346-3206).
ParkingProgram participants who plan to attend a weekday program may obtain a day (8:00am-5:00pm) parking permit for $8.00 either from the Information Kiosk at 13th Avenue and Beech Street or from the Department of Public Safety in Straub Hall (346-5444). Day permit parking is available in the parking lot at 17th and Columbia and 13th and Agate Street. Please note that a parking permit does not allow you to park in any "reserved" or "metered" spaces. Program participants who plan to attend a Sunday program may park, without charge, on Sunday only at the following two lots: 17th and Columbia (enter from Columbia) and 13th and Agate (enter from 13th). You may park at any "metered" space without charge on SUNDAY ONLY, however, please do not park in "reserved" parking spaces.
