Subject: New online classical program

Hello! I am contacting you about our new online classical program and was wondering if you would consider including something in your newsletter or e-mail to members about the program.

We are introducing our online degree program this week. The vision for our program involves delivering a classical education reflective of that received by the Founding Fathers of America. As such, an intimate part of our online program thus involves a focus on the classics.  We have contracted with a Canadian, Dr. Lisa St. Louis (CV Attached) to develop a series of (3) Latin and (3) Greek online courses.  The courses will each be equivalent to (3) credits at a typical U.S. college and, as we understand it, what would be a typical (1) credit course in Canada.  She has invested an enormous amount of time in these courses and we are very proud to have her as part of our academic staff.  In addition to the Latin and Greek that Dr. Lisa has developed, we are also offering Hebrew.  Certainly part of the novelty of the offering is that it is available online for students anywhere around the world.  Our course offering will begin in September 2005.

To complement the language/classical focus of our Liberal Arts degree we are also offering a series of (3) Art History courses, also developed by a Canadian Classicist, Dr. Martin Meyer. Her courses have a distinct classical focus, portraying the influence of the classical era on the time periods that followed.  I also attached her CV.

I’m wondering if you would consider including this information in your next newsletter and help us promote this tremendous program to members of the list. We will receive approval/certification of our program from the state of Wisconsin Educational Approval Board this week and are most excited about the offering.

For more information, I also attached a copy of our course catalog for your reference. I also attached a copy of the press release that will likely be distributed this week once we receive approval from the state.

Please let me know if you would be willing to help in the promotion of our program.
