Complete CV BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION Matthew Cole received his B.A. in Economics in 2001 from The University of Northern Iowa and his M.A. in Economics in 2003 from The University of Iowa. He was a Visiting Instructor at Grand Valley State University from 2004-2005 and expects to receive his Ph.D. from the University of Oregon in 2009. RESEARCH INTERESTS Cole specializes in international trade and applied microeconomics. Current research focuses on international trade, specifically strategic trade policy in the presence of firm heterogeneity and multinationals. Cole has wider interests in globalization and trade agreements. FIELDS International Economics, Industrial Organization, and Applied Econometrics. REFEREED PUBLICATIONS

TEACHING EXPERIENCE Cole has independently taught Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Business Economics, and Public Finance at Grand Valley State University and Intermediate Microeconomics, and International Economic Issues at The University of Oregon. He has also served as a teaching assistant for Principles of Microeconomics, Money and Banking, and International Trade at The University of Iowa. He is currently a graduate teaching fellow at the University of Oregon and has led discussion sections for Principles of Microeconomics, and the Ph.D. Econometrics course.
