Laurel Kincl
RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
Laurel Kincl has worked as a research associate at LERC since 2003 conducting occupational safety and health training and research with workers in a variety of occupations. She has been involved in conducting ergonomics research in the healthcare and construction industries, using objective measures for low back and upper extremity motion during patient handling tasks, floor level screw gun use, and drywall handling tasks.
She also developed an ergonomics training curriculum for fire and emergency medical service personnel and has taught ergonomics to workers in home health care and dental hygiene. Kincl currently works on a project with masonry ergonomics and is the project manager of an occupational health research project in the aviation industry.
Kincl completed her PhD in Occupational Safety and Ergonomics in 2002 and her MS in Industrial Hygiene in 1998 from the Department of Environmental Health at the University of Cincinnati.
