2 April Introduction to the problem: how do regimes undermine the constitution and create an effective totalitarian government? What devices are used? To what extent is there consent? or intimidation? Consideration of examples past and present. Randall Heath from the Knight Library will come to class about 4pm to discuss what she can offer to help with the research.
