What's your Eugene Running Story?

We want you, the local running community, to share your own experiences...from the track, the trails, or the bleachers.

The Folklore graduate students at the U of O are recording local running lore to collect the voices of Track Town U.S.A. All of the interviews will be housed in the Randall V. Mills Archives of Northwest Folklore. We will also highlight select interviews on this website in an online exhibit.

Interviews will last approx. 5-7 minutes and will cover a running-related topic of your choosing.

What is your favorite running route?

Do you have race rituals or superstitions?

Do you have a favorite Eugene race?

Why did you get started running?

What's your most memorable moment on Hayward Field?

Do you have a favorite "fan" or spectator story?

Think about your stories... then visit us at a Track Town Traditions event and contribute your own story to the history of Eugene's famous running culture.

Graduate students will be collecting stories before and after each event. Arrive early!
