Announcements
Chair Election
Dorene Steggell asked for nominations or volunteers for the 2004-05 chairperson. Ben Farrell volunteered and was subsequently unanimously voted in as the new EIC chair.
2003-04 Year End Report
As an overview to EIC’s work last year, Dorene reviewed the final report that was submitted to the Senate and Dan Williams. The report is available here.
EIC Outreach
Cheri suggested that the EIC consider hosting movie nights and show videos such as "Blue Vinyl," or other educational videos. If there is interest in promoting this type of event, a subcommittee may be formed to work on funding and/or co-sponsoring with another group such as the ASUO, Cultural Forum, or the College of Business, etc.
Dan Williams is planning to retire at the end of the year. The committee would like to invite Dan to attend an upcoming EIC meeting.
As a following up to the Capital Campaign discussions last year, Alan Price will also be invited back.
The next Environmental Issues Committee meeting will be held on November 15, from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. in the EMU Board Room.
