Subcommittees:
Transportation Subcommittee-Goals for promoting alternative transportation, logistics of how to, and tying into Earth Week. The group has seen a slight increase in the number of parking spaces and the bike racks are fuller.
Education Subcommittee-Meeting next week.
New Business:
Group wanted to know if there was a new person to manage the bike program, success of bike auction and if funds can go back into bike program.
To promote more student involvement E-mails will be sent to student groups (ASUO, OSPIRG) in the Environmental Issues Committee. The EIC meeting minutes will be sent to John Bonine (Environmental Law) and the Environmental Studies Chair.
J.R. Gaddis will forward a copy of the Paper Policy to Harriet with the recent changes regarding the wording referring to the improper state statutes.
Phil reported a petition will be presented to President Frohnmayer today regarding the food concessions at the Riverfront Research Park Project. Clarification of the master plan is requested for the group. Karyn will find out who is on the RRP Commission and where question can be directed.
The next EIC meeting will be held January 7th, 1998 @11:00 am, in the EMU Oak Room.
