Watershed Restoration Stewardship
Ferguson Creek

The Holtzbauer site was planted in 2004/2005 and plots were set up in the spring of 2006. The site is located in the Upper Long Tom watershed along Ferguson Creek. There are two plots, which cover 47 of a total 350 trees. The site covers less than an acre. The goals were to re-vegetate the bank, which will eventually provide shade and large wood that improve fish habitat. In addition to riparian restoration this site is also working with in stream restoration by adding large wood for habitat. As a result during the recent, 2006, winter high water deposited much sediment throughout the site.
