The Biology Software Lab

From 1992 until 2000, the Biology Software Lab of the University of Oregon developed educational software tools that encourage deep conceptual learning and open-ended scientific inquiry.

Although these tools are primarily aimed at college undergraduates in the life sciences, they may be useful in a variety of settings and disciplines, ranging from secondary school classes to graduate courses, and from sociology and geography to chemistry and mathematics.
