I have a new cabinet that was made by the Fabulous Tweeter Brothers (current web address is http://SpeakerPage.com), a speaker engineering/outlet co-op here in Eugene, Oregon. FTB is a spinoff from an OEM woofer design group with 20+ years of design experience for companies like Klipsch, JBL, etc. They designed the box just for me & the response is optimized for use with 4-string electric & with upright bass. It is a ported 1x12 with tweeter (actually 2 tweeters in series, for power handling). Computer generated cabinet dimensions are approx. 20" wide x 14"high x 16" deep; made up in void-free "ApplePly" (Pacific NW version of 11-ply Baltic Birch as used in other high end cabinets.). It is rated at 300W.

Plus side:

Minus side: FTB makes some very fine monitor/home audio speakers; the University of Oregon School of Music is now installing them in their recording studios, labs, classrooms, etc. These also have very low prices so if any of you are working on a home studio you might want to check them out.
