General Remarks

In my teaching I aim at increasing people's awareness of social perception and social interaction phenomena and of the principles that govern them. I also teach statistical techniques that can tackle multivariate data problems, which we frequently find in research on social perception and social interaction. My educational goals include enhancing traditional teaching through the inclusion of computer and Internet resources and sharpening students' observational, critical thinking, and writing skills. I have integrated my research findings into all my course curricula, and I am conducting research training for undergraduate as well as graduate students in my Social Interaction Lab at the Department of Psychology and in the interdisciplinary Institute of Cognitive and Decision Sciences.
