Greg
C. Nelson (B.A., 1981,
UC-Berkeley;
M.A. 1989, Montana; Ph.D., 1998, Oregon) is an
adjunct
assistant professor at UO. Greg C. Nelson
studies dental anthropology, skeletal biology, and
bioarchaeology.
Currently his research centers on investigations of the dental
anthropology
(tooth morphology, pathology) of the Mesopotamian city of Kish with the
aim of determining population affinities (morphology) and population
health
(pathology, including enamel hypoplasia, dental caries, and dental
attrition).
Other areas of major interest are paleoanthropology, evolutionary
biology,
