CASE STUDIES IN SUSTAINABLE DESIGN |
||||||||||||||||||||||
Case study investigations conducted by graduates and undergraduates at Cornell University and the University of Oregon in an advanced technology seminar called, "Case Studies in Sustainable Design." Case studies use the investigative approach of going into real buildings and comparing design intention with actual outcome in terms of building performance, such as daylighting and electric lighting, whole building energy use, indoor air quality, HVAC systems, glazing systems, and shading potential. The course builds on the approach of the Vital Signs Curriculum Project (1992-1998).
